Job Description

Amazon Studios is seeking a Social Marketing Manager to lead global social campaigns for its roster of titles from the Culver City campus. This role sits inside a multinational social marketing team and oversees strategy, creative development, analytics, community engagement, and social innovation, with reporting to the Head of Social Marketing for Amazon Studios. The position centers on shaping campaigns that expand Prime Video’s reach while aligning with the broader brand and marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the social marketing efforts for all assigned titles.
  • Shape breakthrough social strategies that reinforce Amazon Studios and Prime Video's standing in the streaming market, in line with brand business and marketing plans.
  • Craft creative, inventive campaigns that engage customers and boost awareness and viewership.
  • Bring strong strategic thinking to ideate and deliver innovative, effective social experiences that drive viewers to Prime Video.
  • Raise the standard for global social marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Utilize performance data to refine future social marketing plans based on insights.
  • Contribute to campaign reviews and presentations, and present social concepts to senior leadership with confidence.
  • Think ambitiously to generate new ideas for innovative social programs and events that support launches.
  • Support operational excellence through policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Contribute to social campaign management, delivering work efficiently and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including PR, Media, Brand, Department Heads, Strategy Heads, Creative, INTL Partners, cross-functional teams, Studios Leadership, Prime Video, filmmakers, show runners, executive producers, and partner agencies, to build strong relationships and trust.
  • Work with stakeholders to establish project schedules, prioritize resources, and communicate needs and trade-offs when timelines are at risk.
  • Optimize budgets, campaign calendars, and resource allocations for major social marketing initiatives.
  • Proactively solve problems and communicate with senior management, applying sound judgment in situations of ambiguity.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • 3+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Description

The Social Marketing Manager sits within a global social marketing team for Amazon Studios. The role is accountable for developing and executing smart, inventive, and highly creative social campaigns for assigned titles. Global social strategies are developed to set a high bar for innovation, passion, and operational excellence, with responsibility spanning social strategy, creative development, listening analytics, community management, and social innovation including AR/VR and paid media social products. The position supports cross-functional marketing efforts for a portion of Amazon Studios’ slate and reports directly to the Head of Social Marketing. The ideal candidate builds deep partnerships with global platform teams and can move fluidly between data analysis, strategic planning, and hands-on execution. A startup mindset is valued, with ownership, multi-tasking capability, and the ability to think and act both strategically and tactically across idea development and execution.
