Job Description
Own the consumer growth agenda at Lil' Drug Store Products while working closely with teams and partners to turn insights into brand strategy, launch planning, and measurable performance. This full-time, onsite role in Cedar Rapids, IA combines brand leadership with data-driven innovation and category expertise, supported by internal and external insights.
Flexible office schedule with general hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (typically) and the ability to adjust for business and personal needs. Travel is expected at an approximate level of 3 days per quarter to attend trade shows, focus groups, and sales meetings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Brand Manager for the Lil' Drug Store Products brand and brands owned by LDSP, owning brand strategy, activation planning, and performance against growth objectives.
- Lead launch strategy and execution for new product innovation, including cross-functional commercialization efforts.
- Manage external agency partners and social media initiatives to support consumer engagement, awareness, and brand growth.
- Monitor consumer behaviors, emerging trends, and cultural shifts to identify future growth opportunities.
- Lead LDSP product innovation by translating consumer insights and market intelligence into new product concepts and business opportunities.
- Use internal and external data sources to uncover unmet consumer needs and whitespace opportunities.
- Act as a subject matter expert on consumer and category trends in customer-facing meetings and strategic retailer discussions.
- Build clear consumer and category narratives that influence internal priorities and retailer decisions.
- Be the voice of the consumer within the organization, ensuring decisions reflect consumer insights and market dynamics.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a dedicated marketing or communications role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an analytical role.
- Preferred experience in brand or product management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred experience with, or interest in, syndicated data (IRI and Nielsen) to pull, interpret, and analyze market information.
- Preferred experience in consumer packaged goods.
- Digital marketing background preferred.
Working Environment & Physical Requirements
- Location: In person at Cedar Rapids, IA 52404 (required to commute).
- Work setting: Office and distribution center environment with typical office noise (telephones, interruptions, background sounds).
- Tools: Computer, tablet, e-mail, phone, and standard office equipment.
- Travel: By airplane or automobile to attend trade shows, focus groups, and sales meetings (about 3 days per quarter).
- Physical demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs on occasion; digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination to operate equipment including a computer keyboard and calculator; ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, or employees remotely and in person; ability to travel by airplane or automobile.
