Job Description

Location: Peoria, IL onsite. Salary: USD 54,000–60,000 per year. Company: High Point Residence. Overview: The Sales and Marketing Director leads sales, marketing, and resident transition efforts to drive occupancy at a supportive living community, building referral networks and coordinating move-ins. This role emphasizes compassionate, person‑centered guidance and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the community's annual marketing and sales plan
  • Build and maintain a robust referral network by fostering relationships with social workers, case managers, hospitals, and other key sources
  • Track conversion rates from referrals to admissions and ensure timely follow-up
  • Maintain weekly referral and sales logs, monitoring progress toward census goals
  • Plan and host presentations, luncheons, and outreach events to promote services
  • Provide compassionate, person-centered guidance to residents and families during transitions
  • Coordinate pre-admission processes and ensure a smooth, welcoming move-in experience
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to review referrals promptly, aiming for a 30-minute turnaround where possible
  • Follow up with referral sources to monitor patient progress and support successful transitions
  • Analyze market trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and referral-source data to position the community competitively
  • Build partnerships with area hospitals, home health agencies, hospice providers, and senior organizations
  • Actively engage with local senior-focused events and programs to enhance visibility

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior living, healthcare, or related sales and marketing roles
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Able to analyze data, develop strategic plans, and meet census goals
  • Knowledge of long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare services is preferred

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods; bend, stoop, and lift as needed
  • Comfortable working in a healthcare environment with residents and their families
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard hours, including evenings or weekends when required
