Marketing Director
Job Description
Seeking a Marketing Director to lead the Salina Art Center's communications, marketing, and fundraising materials in Salina, KS, at an hourly rate of $16-$18, with a college degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement comprehensive communications, advertising, and marketing for all Art Center programs, such as exhibitions, education, public programs, the Art Center Cinema, membership drives, and fundraising efforts.
- Lead media relations and collaborate with the Executive Director to enhance the Center’s visibility across local and national press in print, broadcast, and online outlets.
- Establish and uphold the Center's visual brand identity to deliver consistent messaging and public image across channels.
- Coordinate concepting, editing, production, mailing, and distribution of print and digital promotional materials.
- Oversee the Center’s website and social media presence, collaborating with staff and volunteers.
- Capture photographs and document events, classes, and exhibits, and produce video content for social media marketing and communications.
- Manage on-site signage and information displays, including bulletin boards and digital signage, across all Center facilities.
- Track media coverage and review local press daily.
- Maintain an archive of all communications materials, both print and digital, along with press clippings and related assets.
- Manage online ticketing platforms for special events, cinema showings, and classes.
- Provide general customer service as needed.
- Attend designated special events and activities as required.
- Supervise interns and other staff assigned to marketing and customer service duties.
Requirements
- Experience in marketing, public relations, or journalism; college degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in photography.
- Experience and interest in engaging with the public.
- Experience managing social media platforms.
- Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively and interact professionally with trustees, donors, members, the public, and staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Workspace apps.
- Availability to supervise on-site at least one weekend per month.
