Job Description

Honolulu Coffee Company seeks a Marketing Coordinator and Social Media Specialist to manage content creation, community engagement, and design support on-site in Honolulu, HI.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, produce, and schedule on-brand content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other channels to support Honolulu Coffee Company.
  • Partner with the Brand Manager and senior leaders to execute campaigns, product launches, and promotions.
  • Interact with the online community by replying to comments, messages, and tags in a warm, on-brand voice.
  • Monitor social performance and generate reports with actionable insights.
  • Stay current on social media and design trends, proposing fresh content ideas for new and existing audiences.
  • Monitor events across our brands and craft posts that excite and engage audiences.
  • Design cafe signage for new locations, limited offerings, and seasonal promotions.
  • Produce internal print collateral as needed.
  • Create simple email newsletters and digital assets.
  • Deliver quick-turn, on-brand graphics using established design systems.
  • Support marketing campaigns that showcase our brand story, customer experience, and commitment to quality.
  • Use Canva to rapidly create on-brand graphics under Brand Manager review.
  • Assist with Honolulu Coffee Company events as they arise throughout the year.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in graphic design, social media management, or content creation (agency, in-house, or freelance).
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); comfortable using Canva and basic video editing, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Experience with social media management tools such as Later and platform insights; skilled in reviewing and reporting metrics.
  • Strong writing ability for short-form content in an on-brand voice.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities and ambiguity, with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Team player who thrives in a culture-first environment emphasizing openness, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Passion for exceptional customer service and creating memorable coffee experiences online and in person.

  • Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: 30 per week
