Marketing Communications Manager
Job Description
The Marketing Communications Manager position sits at the intersection of strategy and storytelling for ABB Inc.’s Motion Services Division in the US. Based in New Berlin, Wisconsin with a hybrid work model, the role steers both internal and external communications to reinforce the division’s brand in line with global guidelines and local business priorities. It reports to the Local Division Manager US, Motion Services, and partners closely with senior leadership to translate business goals into clear, compelling communications.
Responsibilities
- Strategy: Define the communication priorities that support the local division’s business plan, and develop and drive a coherent, integrated external and internal communications program and brand positioning aligned with global guidelines.
- Communication plans: Develop, recommend and execute targeted communications plans and messages for customers, partners, crisis scenarios, employee engagement and internal communications, ensuring relevance for each audience and generating leads.
- Management support: Act as a communications consultant to local division leadership, enabling timely opportunities and responses; provide personal communications materials for the Local Managing Director and other managers, including presentations, speeches and articles.
- Content: Create editorial content aligned with promotional activity and buyer’s journey, including local success stories, press releases, video scripts, social posts, invitations and marketing automation campaigns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in communications or marketing communications within a global matrixed organization.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and meet challenging schedules and timelines.
