Job Description

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Marketing Communication Lead to strengthen the company’s regional presence through client development, targeted marketing and communication outreach, and support for project procurement. This onsite role in Bellevue, WA works closely with the Proposal Manager and regional leadership to ensure proposal content and supporting materials align with brand standards and help position pursuits for success.

Key details: Regular Full-Time, Req ID 1035, with a salary range of USD 84,600 to 111,270 per year (Washington-only compensation elements listed below).

What you’ll do

  • Lead and champion assigned RFQ and RFP response efforts, including complex design-build pursuits, ensuring themes, technical scope, staff qualifications, and experience are accurate and presented in a visually compelling way.
  • Coordinate with senior technical staff and project development team members to prepare proposal materials, handling writing, editing, verification, and formatting of proposal information and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong quality across proposals and other marketing materials.
  • Partner with the proposal team on presentations and interviews with prospective clients.
  • Run proposal kickoff and support capture planning by confirming that win themes are clearly expressed and incorporated into responses.
  • Proactively track and maintain communication, including managing assignments for local and remote partners, to help ensure timelines are met.
  • Oversee ongoing contributions to company-wide databases with project and proposal information, as assigned.
  • Coach and mentor coordinators to prepare them for additional responsibilities within the organization in proposal-focused areas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a relevant field of study.
  • 5 years of architecture, engineering, and construction experience and/or a combination of education and experience.
  • Passion for storytelling and creating visual layouts.
  • Strong Adobe InDesign capabilities, plus familiarity with Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Interest in building people management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with CRM software.
  • Highly organized with superb task management and excellent multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Competency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Base: $84,600 - $88,770
  • COLA: $13,200
  • Auto: $8,400

Work location & physical requirements

Location: Bellevue, WA (onsite). The role involves Light Work with occasional exertion up to 25 pounds and frequent exertion up to 10 pounds, plus regular sitting/standing and use of office equipment. The position involves constant computer use and reading written communications, and it includes periodic walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, stooping, lifting, and finger/type tasks.
