Job Description

AMCA International is hiring a Marketing and Events Specialist to support its digital marketing, meeting communications, educational programs, and trade show activities. This hybrid role in Arlington Heights, IL coordinates campaign execution, content updates, event logistics, and partner/vendor coordination to help keep programs accurate, on schedule, and aligned with AMCA brand standards.

What you’ll do

  • Execute digital marketing campaigns across email, LinkedIn, the AMCA website, and other digital channels.
  • Build, test, schedule, deploy, and report on email campaigns using HubSpot.
  • Create and maintain website content, including landing pages, blogs, event pages, and program updates.
  • Apply established SEO, accessibility, and brand/messaging standards to digital content.
  • Schedule and publish LinkedIn content and monitor engagement tied to campaign activity.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, campaign schedules, workflows, approvals, and production timelines.
  • Organize marketing assets (photography, graphics, templates) and maintain digital content libraries.
  • Support marketing automation with audience segmentation, campaign quality assurance, and performance reporting.
  • Coordinate meeting, conference, seminar, and trade show timelines, task lists, production schedules, and deliverables.
  • Manage attendee communications and registration-related logistics, including rooming lists and transportation information.
  • Work with external meeting management partners, venues, vendors, and suppliers to support accurate and timely execution.
  • Track event milestones, deadlines, deliverables, and outstanding action items.
  • Process invoices, maintain documentation, reconcile event expenses, and coordinate with Finance.
  • Maintain organized event files, planning documents, production schedules, and historical records.
  • Coordinate speaker communications including agreements, biographies, presentations, travel information, and submission deadlines.
  • Prepare speaker briefing materials, session documentation, agenda updates, and program communications.
  • Coordinate sponsor and exhibitor communications, materials, logos, advertisements, and fulfillment requirements, including tracking contractual benefits and deliverables.
  • Ensure sponsor recognition is delivered across event materials, email, website, social media, signage, and other channels.
  • Develop and maintain event webpages and registration pages, plus related promotional content and attendee information.
  • Prepare digital and printed event materials such as signage, presentations, collateral, and attendee communications.
  • Coordinate production with internal teams, designers, printers, venues, and other external vendors.
  • Review event information and materials for accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and brand alignment.
  • Maintain accurate marketing, event, registration, and CRM data in HubSpot, Cvent, and other systems.
  • Track campaign performance, registrations, website activity, social engagement, and attendee trends.
  • Prepare routine reports and support attendee surveys and post-event evaluations.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and support departmental workflows and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Support onsite event and trade show execution as assigned.
  • Perform additional marketing and event responsibilities as assigned.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management, or a related field preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in marketing, digital communications, events, or a related area; association experience preferred.
  • Experience creating and executing email and social media campaigns; HubSpot experience preferred.
  • Experience managing website content through a content management system; Craft preferred.
  • Experience with Cvent or a comparable registration platform preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus digital marketing and campaign execution experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration, professionalism, and customer service mindset.
  • Sound problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, including financial accuracy and attention to documentation.
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate direction.
  • Commitment to AMCA’s global brand and messaging standards.

Location, schedule, and travel

  • Hybrid work: remote work Monday and Friday, in-office work Tuesday through Thursday.
  • Approximately 5–10% domestic travel for meetings, conferences, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Role includes extended computer use and occasional standing, lifting, and movement of materials during event setup.

Salary and benefits

Salary range: Based on years of experience. 3-5 years: $60,000-65,000; 6+ years: $66,000-70,000.
