Graphic Design and Marketing Specialist
Job Description
The Thrasher Group is adding a Graphic Design & Marketing Specialist to its Marketing team at its Bridgeport, WV office. This onsite role combines professional graphic design with marketing support across proposals, presentations, client communications, and campaign initiatives, helping the team communicate clearly and win work.
You will independently take visual projects from concept through final production, creating polished, original materials designed for real business outcomes. What you’ll do
- Create original graphic design work for proposals, presentations, advertisements, campaigns, events, client communications, and digital platforms.
- Move projects from concept to final production using informed decisions about layout, typography, imagery, hierarchy, and messaging.
- Design graphics that simplify complex information, including infographics, diagrams, and maps.
- Produce professional print and digital materials such as advertisements, brochures, signage, displays, and event materials, plus web/social graphics.
- Prepare production-ready files and understand print production needs including bleeds, folds, panels, image resolution, and color modes.
- Develop proposal and interview presentation graphics and support qualifications package production, including statements of interest.
- Research clients, projects, communities, and industries, and collaborate with engineers, architects, planners, and technical staff to shape audience-focused content.
- Write and edit proposal narratives, project descriptions, presentation content, advertisements, and other marketing communications.
- Support video editing, digital content, and conference materials as needed for marketing initiatives.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Communication Design, or a closely related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of experience.
- Strong professional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and related design software, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of typography, composition, visual hierarchy, and image editing/manipulation, with solid print and digital production knowledge.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
- Strong writing, editing, research, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Portfolio required for consideration, demonstrating original, professional-level graphic design work (multi-page or multi-panel layouts, advertisements, brochures, presentations, campaigns, and business communications encouraged).
