Events Marketing Manager
Job Description
Events Marketing Manager at Coalition, Inc. in New York, NY (onsite) with a salary range of USD 90,000 - 115,000 per year leads strategy, attendee experience, and sponsorship management across a global event portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Act as the project lead from ideation through post-event performance analytics to drive tangible business results across the global event portfolio.
- Source unique venues and apply current and emerging industry trends to create personal connections and collaboration, delivering experiences that delight brokers, partners, and employees.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and the Events Director to align every touchpoint with core messaging and ambitious growth objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end registration, site builds, troubleshooting, and attendee communications to deliver a seamless first impression.
- Coordinate the launch and ongoing updates of event mobile apps and technology integrations to improve onsite experiences.
- Maintain accurate registration data and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
- Coordinate check-in procedures and attendee flow with internal teams and vendors.
- Identify, pitch, and secure sponsors in collaboration with the Event Director to meet sponsor sales targets for owned events.
- Serve as the primary sponsor contact, managing all deliverables from contract execution through post-event follow-up.
- Coordinate with agency partners to fulfill sponsor branding and logistics with hospitality-level service.
- Monitor sponsorship performance, collect feedback, and generate post-event summaries to support renewals.
- Develop and maintain thorough planning materials, including master timelines, schedules, and budgets.
- Design and manage session rooms, floorplans, signage, and decor to foster connection through innovative spaces.
- Act as the primary liaison with AV and IT partners for technical requirements and high-level production needs.
- Oversee food and beverage, entertainment, and shipments, and conduct site visits with stakeholders as needed.
- Direct all onsite operations for assigned events, overseeing setup, execution, and teardown with precision.
- Provide comprehensive event recaps and debriefs to internal stakeholders to quantify business impact.
- Archive event materials for future reuse and manage issues from initiation to resolution.
- Serve as the central point of contact for internal teams, executives, and partners to ensure alignment, including leading planning meetings and communicating critical updates, decisions, and recaps.
- Identify and escalate risks to leadership proactively to safeguard project success.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in event management, sponsorship management, or marketing management within a fast-paced corporate or tech events environment.
- Experience in hospitality, hotel sourcing, and contract negotiations is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to guide complex programs from concept to completion using structured project management approaches to manage budgets, timelines, and high-stakes deliverables.
- Strong awareness of current and emerging industry and lifestyle trends, with the ability to translate them into distinctive event experiences.
- Proven expertise in registration management, vendor negotiations, and delivering hospitality-grade customer service.
- Advanced experience with event technology platforms (such as Swoogo), Google Suite, Slack, and remote collaboration tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and present analytics to executives.
- Willingness to travel up to 20-30 percent for onsite execution and site visits.
- (Bonus) Hospitality, hotel sourcing, and contract negotiations experience is a plus.
