Director, Brand & Social Media Marketing
Job Description
Join TIAA in Frisco, TX (onsite) and take ownership of brand and social strategy end-to-end. This role independently leads brand marketing programs while providing full accountability for Wealth Management’s social media presence and long-term social direction. You will connect brand positioning with cultural execution across cross-functional partners, shaping how the brand shows up across channels.
Base pay range: $113,000 to $151,000 per year.
Anticipated posting end date: 2026-08-22.
Responsibilities
- Lead the research, development, and execution of brand-focused marketing strategies to maximize brand appeal and capture market opportunity, using advanced judgment with minimal guidance.
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, competitor activity, and opinion research to generate forward-looking insights (1–3 year horizon) that inform brand decisions and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across brand positioning, marketing themes, and media channels by influencing decisions across partners including Creative, Product, Digital, and Channel Marketing.
- Own the review and governance of brand marketing assets, applying advanced brand judgment to ensure content resonates with targeted customer segments and maintains brand integrity across touchpoints.
- Own the social media program with full accountability, independently directing content strategy, creation, operational execution, and ongoing program evolution across all platforms.
- Develop and publish high-quality original content with advanced platform expertise and an authoritative brand voice to drive meaningful engagement with targeted audiences.
- Lead the content editorial calendar to orchestrate campaigns, timely marketing moments, and always-on publishing in support of broader Wealth Marketing objectives.
- Serve as the department’s subject matter expert on brand voice and content standards, influencing consistent tone, terminology, and messaging across channels and audiences.
- Monitor the competitive social media landscape and emerging platform trends, translating insights into actionable program improvements as the industry shifts.
- Establish, own, and refine social media goals, metrics, and benchmarking, assessing performance against business objectives and optimizing outcomes over a short- to medium-term horizon.
Requirements
- Education: University degree.
- Experience: 5+ years required; 7+ years preferred (5+ years in marketing with a focus in social media marketing; 7+ years also preferred).
- Build relationships with clients and peers.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentations; creative thinker.
- Effective time management and project management skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement social media strategies beyond likes and followers.
- Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, and TikTok.
- Proficiency with social media search, analysis, and content distribution tools (for example, Hearsay, Hootsuite).
- Physical requirement: Sedentary Work.
