Job Description
The Digital Marketing Associate will manage Morningstar's Credit Marketing & Communications organic social activity from a New York base, focusing on content development, publishing, performance analysis, and audience engagement within a hybrid work arrangement.
Location
New York, NY — hybrid work arrangement; four days in the office.
Role Summary
The position supports the day to day management of organic social channels, with a primary emphasis on LinkedIn. It includes developing content that highlights research, market commentary, ratings, events, podcasts, thought leadership, and corporate initiatives for senior institutional audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of credit brands, products, audiences, and business objectives.
- Gain familiarity with Morningstar's research offerings, methodologies, and areas of expertise.
- Develop knowledge of the credit ratings industry, competitive landscape, and key market trends.
- Own the daily execution, growth, and optimization of organic social media channels, focusing on LinkedIn.
- Create and execute a content calendar that promotes research, market commentary, ratings, events, podcasts, thought leadership, and corporate initiatives.
- Translate complex financial, economic, and industry topics into clear, engaging social content for senior institutional audiences including investors, issuers, bankers, asset managers, regulators, and other capital markets stakeholders.
- Apply social media best practices to maximize content performance, including copywriting, formatting, posting cadence, engagement tactics, and channel-specific approaches.
- Monitor industry news, market developments, and competitive activity to identify timely content opportunities and propose new ideas.
- Track, analyze, and report on key metrics, delivering actionable recommendations to boost engagement, audience growth, and overall channel effectiveness.
- Support the execution, monitoring, and optimization of paid digital campaigns across LinkedIn, Google Paid Search, Google Display, YouTube, and other channels.
- Assist with digital marketing processes and workflows, including campaign intake, project management, and campaign delivery to align with timelines and briefs.
- Coordinate with Marketing Strategy, Content, Events, Copy, Design, and other stakeholders to execute integrated campaigns.
- Analyze website and campaign performance data, produce reports, and provide insights to inform decision making and continuous improvement.
- Maintain campaign documentation, tracking, and operational processes to support efficient execution and measurement.
- Stay current with evolving digital marketing trends, social media practices, emerging technologies, and platform capabilities to identify opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience managing organic social programs for a B2B organization, including content planning, creation, publishing, and performance analysis; LinkedIn experience preferred.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex topics for professional audiences.
- Strong data analysis skills with hands-on experience turning performance data into actionable marketing recommendations.
- High attention to detail in both written and visual communications, with a track record of accurate and efficient execution.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and to work independently when needed.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, effectively communicate with stakeholders, and prioritize to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and industry concepts.

Base Salary and Incentives
Base salary range: $63,690.00 to $93,404.66 per year. Incentive target: 7.5% of annual compensation.
