Job Description
The City of Round Rock’s Sports Management and Tourism team seeks a Marketing and Social Media Coordinator to steer the promotion of the Go Round Rock brand. This onsite role in Center, Texas centers on a comprehensive master marketing plan that weaves together social media, website management, digital advertising, and email outreach to engage visitors, stakeholders, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage SEO driven blogs, websites, landing pages, itineraries, and content for the Go Round Rock brand, collaborating with designers and videographers using various graphic software.
- Create and oversee content for the department’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter), implementing strategies to engage target audiences, boost brand presence, and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Use analytics to measure engagement, refine campaigns, expand digital reach, and generate reports for the department.
- Coordinate with influencers across business, industry, and social media to form partnerships that maximize reach and impact.
- Direct, coordinate, and produce marketing video content, including promotional videos and short-form reels.
- Develop and manage digital advertising strategies, including paid social campaigns, to increase visibility and engagement.
- Create newsletters and email marketing campaigns for visitors, stakeholders, and department staff.
Requirements
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Texas Driver's License.
