Job Description

Standard Potential is building Every Electric, and the Community & Marketing Coordinator will be a key driver of how the team shows up publicly. This is an early-stage, outward-facing role that blends marketing, content, community building, and hands-on day-to-day support, with direct reporting to the founders. The position is based in Brooklyn, NY with a hybrid schedule.

You will lead marketing and content execution while helping diverse audiences understand what Every Electric does and why it matters. Alongside that work, you will support events and partnerships, track what is performing, and use AI-enabled workflows to keep output moving fast in a startup environment.

What you’ll do

  • Own marketing and content efforts, including running social media and producing content across formats, from static graphics to video, with AI tools to work faster and increase output.
  • Build and deepen relationships that expand Every Electric’s footprint through planning and running in-person and virtual events.
  • Develop outreach initiatives with community organizations, property managers, and housing authorities, and partner with creators to extend reach.
  • Create educational materials and explainers tailored to different communities so diverse audiences can understand what the program is and why it matters.
  • Measure and track marketing and community performance using analytics and conversion by channel, while monitoring media presence and sentiment with AI-assisted tooling where helpful.
  • Support communication across languages and cultures by creating content or translating for communities in their own language.
  • Use and build AI tools to streamline work for you and the team, including drafting, research, and automating recurring workflows.
  • Help keep the Brooklyn Navy Yard office and the team running smoothly day to day, covering supplies, vendors, and event logistics.

What you bring

  • Ability to create a graphic, cut a short video, and write a post that sounds like a person, and deliver all three within the same week.
  • Comfort with in-person, community-facing work across New York City, including events, tabling, and building relationships with community organizations and partners.
  • Clear, professional writing, including the ability to explain a technical program in plain language to a resident, building manager, or reporter.
  • Ability to run multiple campaigns, events, and deadlines at once in a fast-paced environment.
  • Daily use of AI tools for drafting, research, and automation, plus initiative to create lightweight workflows without waiting for engineering.
  • Willingness to take ownership of execution across functions, from office administration to event load-in.
  • Interest in energy systems, grid modernization, and clean energy access for underserved communities.

Schedule & location

Nice to have

  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, or another language commonly spoken by New York City residents
  • Experience with multifamily or affordable housing, community solar, or utility energy programs
  • Hands-on experience with Figma, Canva, Adobe, CapCut, and a CRM or marketing automation platform
