Job Description
Onsite Community Liaison role in Fergus Falls, MN, covering the Minnesota Territory (Grand Forks, Detroit Lakes, Fargo) to support a 24-bed inpatient psychiatric unit through marketing, sales, and relationship-building.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and implement Sales Excellence and Service Recovery standards effectively.
- Serve as the liaison between the facility and referral sources, executing service-focused action plans tailored to referral partner needs.
- Act as a community resource and representative for outreach and engagement.
- Lead facility tours for key stakeholders.
- Participate actively in Business Development team meetings.
- Prepare and deliver marketing reports, updates, and service recovery opportunities to the Director of Business Development promptly.
- Maintain documentation for top accounts, key contacts, planning reports, client and competitive profiles, and updates as required.
- Cultivate strong relationships with current referral sources and identify potential new sources.
- Maximize field time with a daily average of 8-10 in-person contacts with referral sources discussing programs, treatment philosophies, outcomes, and satisfaction data.
- Develop and communicate tailored sales messaging for each program and target audience.
- Identify and build strategic sales plans for existing and potential referral sources within the assigned territory and markets, incorporating relevant research.
- Assess, develop, and implement sales activities to maximize market penetration and identify accounts in targeted segments.
- Monitor referral inquiries and admissions statistics on a daily basis.
- Conduct ongoing analyses to ensure weekly sales action plans are appropriate and effective.
- Maintain current industry awareness and anticipate changes or trends in the target market.
- Use market information to develop and adjust weekly sales action plans and advise on overall business development planning strategies.
- Facilitate positive, timely, and accurate communication.
- Encourage cooperation and apply problem-solving skills to build and secure relationships among the facility, referral sources, patients, families, and the community.
- Maintain up-to-date information in MedSeries 4, MIDAS, and MEDIK, including daily contacts and accurate account information.
- Demonstrate proficiency with proprietary reports to plan sales activity.
- Complete all required reports and requests for information promptly, including expense reports, sales call plans, and post-call follow-up reports.
- Participate in off-hours sales and community activities as needed by the Director of Business Development and facility requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
- Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
