Job Description

Oneupweb, based in Traverse City, MI with remote work options, seeks an SEO and Content Marketing Specialist to develop data driven content strategies that elevate clients' organic search visibility and traffic. The role offers an annual salary range of USD 43,000 to 65,000 and requires a minimum of two years of content creation experience along with an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

Write engaging, optimized content for a diverse client base.
Perform self and peer reviews to ensure accuracy, tone, and clarity.
Ensure content aligns with brand standards and SEO best practices.
Identify structural, technical, and editorial opportunities to boost quality, SEO performance, and user experience.
Collaborate with internal teams including web development, design, and video.
Develop short term and long term content and SEO plans informed by data analysis.
Build proficiency with relevant search marketing tools.
Monitor, analyze, and report on website performance metrics.
Present findings and recommended strategies to clients and colleagues.
Share knowledge on the latest search marketing trends with clients and peers.
Produce audits and reports for a variety of stakeholders.
Participate in sales discovery and client pitches as needed.
Support onboarding tasks by reviewing estimates for project time and cost.
Contribute to the annual planning process for clients.
Engage in post project evaluation and actualization.

Requirements

Minimum two years of content creation experience.
Strong attention to delivering clean content with consistent formatting.
Experience or strong interest in search engine optimization, including technical aspects and data analysis.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Presentation skills and comfort engaging with clients.
Ability to collaborate, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Basic understanding of on-page and technical SEO.
Experience with data analysis and SEO research tools such as Google Analytics, Semrush, and Screaming Frog.
