Sr. Art Director, PV Sports Marketing
Job Description
The Senior Art Director for Prime Video Sports Marketing is based onsite in Culver City, CA. The role leads visual identities, design systems, and hands-on creative across live sports properties, with a salary range of USD 141,000 to 190,700 per year. A bachelor’s degree is required, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain visual identities for Prime Video's live sports properties
- Craft comprehensive brand guidelines and design systems to ensure consistency across all marketing touchpoints
- Lead hands-on design work from concept through final deliverables, including key art, digital ads, partnership materials, and promotional content
- Use AI tools to enhance creative workflows, boost efficiency, and scale production capabilities
- Establish mechanisms, templates, and processes to improve efficiency and reduce complexity across projects
- Create scalable design solutions that perform across multiple formats, platforms, and placements
- Document learnings and best practices to benefit the broader team
- Pivot quickly to address real-time sports developments such as injuries, trades, roster changes, and breaking news
- Balance planned campaigns with reactive, time-sensitive creative needs
- Present creative concepts and design rationale to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Collaborate with copywriters, motion designers, and production teams to deliver cohesive campaigns
- Coordinate with external agencies, media partners, and vendors when needed to scale production
- Stay current with design trends, sports marketing best practices, and emerging technologies
- Mentor and guide junior designers and art directors
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of professional experience in art direction, graphic design, or related creative field
- 5+ years designing for digital platforms including display advertising, paid media, and web
- A portfolio with 5+ projects demonstrating strong digital platform acumen and 3+ brand/visual identity examples showing scalable design systems and production-ready specifications
- Experience leveraging AI tools in creative workflows and articulating their practical applications in design and marketing
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Functional knowledge of Figma and Microsoft 365
- Experience presenting creative to C-level executives and cross-functional teams

Description
Prime Video seeks an outstanding Sr. Art Director to join the Sports Marketing team. The role involves creating compelling visual identities and marketing assets for live sports properties such as NFL Thursday Night Football, NBA, WNBA, NASCAR, NWSL, and The Masters. The Sports Marketing creative group functions as an internal agency, taking projects from concept through completion. This is a hands-on position where you will execute design work directly while guiding the broader creative process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sports marketing, entertainment marketing, or streaming media
- Experience with paid digital advertising across multiple platforms
- Knowledge of and passion for sports and sports culture
- Experience managing reactive, time-sensitive creative work in response to real-time events
- Ability to execute simple motion graphics with hands-on experience in After Effects or similar tools
- Experience mentoring or managing junior creative talent
- Understanding of performance marketing and data-driven creative optimization
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- History of implementing workflow improvements or process optimizations
