Job Description

Join Southern Oregon Goodwill Industries in Medford, onsite, to lead strategic marketing, communications, and development initiatives that align brand, digital visibility, fundraising messaging, and community engagement with mission impact while building a capable marketing team. This role offers a salary range of USD 105,000 to 115,000 per year and the opportunity to shape how the organization connects with donors, shoppers, and partners to advance its community impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the annual marketing and communications plan
  • Set quarterly priorities and maintain a 1–2 year strategic view
  • Establish and preserve brand positioning and messaging standards
  • Direct campaign planning and oversee execution, measurement, and refinement
  • Lead annual marketing budget planning
  • Define measurable performance goals across campaigns, retail promotions, events, and digital channels
  • Monitor performance data and adjust tactics to improve outcomes
  • Provide performance reporting and insights to executive leadership
  • Partner with Retail leadership to drive store traffic, sales growth, and campaign execution
  • Ensure consistent in-store messaging across all locations
  • Direct execution of integrated marketing initiatives across channels
  • Maintain brand standards and compliance
  • Provide direction for social media presence and digital engagement
  • Oversee content strategy and performance metrics
  • Lead initiatives to improve engagement, reach, and conversion
  • Direct media relations and brand narrative
  • Lead development of communication plans that strengthen donor loyalty
  • Provide marketing leadership and support for fundraising events
  • Align event messaging with mission impact and revenue objectives
  • Lead, develop, and evaluate marketing team members
  • Set clear expectations and performance standards
  • Build bench strength and close capability gaps

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 7–10 years of progressive marketing experience
  • 3–5 years leading teams and managing budgets
  • Experience leading integrated, multi-channel marketing initiatives
  • Experience creating measurable growth in traffic, engagement, or revenue
  • Experience in retail, nonprofit, or multi-location environments preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with media relations and public representation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives
