Marketing Manager
Job Description
The Marketing Manager role directs marketing strategy development and execution across traditional, digital, and social channels to grow revenue, brand presence, and market share for Marriott's hotel portfolio, coordinating with regional teams and PR.
Responsibilities
- Promote on-brand messaging across traditional, digital, and social channels to drive revenue and support total hotel goals.
- Develop direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activated channels to raise consumer awareness, boost market share, and strengthen portfolio and brand presence.
- Showcase Food and Beverage promotions to hotel guests and local patrons.
- Collaborate with regional resources and align with regional eCommerce and Marketing teams to ensure local efforts integrate with selling initiatives.
- Create and execute marketing strategies across multiple outlets, aligning with continent-wide positioning and hotel goals.
- Support topline revenue growth and RevPAR/share-of-wallet objectives through effective marketing strategies.
- Manage internal and external communications and digital presence, including property websites, third-party channels, and social media, while preserving brand integrity.
- Activate incremental marketing opportunities via partnerships, third-party sites, and CVBs.
- Report campaign performance to Sales, Marketing & Revenue Management leadership as requested.
- Develop and implement the overarching marketing plan and budget for hotel groups, with General Manager input.
- Partner in demand generation strategy development and participate in SMR initiatives.
- Reconcile monthly marketing plans with accruals and forecasts in coordination with the Director of Finance.
- Lead or partner with Hotel Operations to conceptualize property-level programming and activation per brand guidelines.
- Serve as the brand guardian and liaison to ensure marketing reflects the brand voice and drives continent-wide and brand promotions.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management to design and execute promotional strategies.
- Develop and manage property email marketing and digital strategies across Marriott.com and third-party sites, including paid media campaigns and performance tracking.
- Support group lead generation efforts and analyze campaign results to adjust strategy.
- Oversee internal and external partners to ensure deliverables support hotel strategy.
- Craft an annual digital marketing plan to maximize revenue and identify opportunities on third-party and local partner sites.
- Monitor SEO performance and provide recommendations in collaboration with MDS or an agency.
- Set overarching messaging aligned with positioning for the hotel group.
- Manage Marriott.com, OTA content, and Third-Party/Group Site content; oversee photography distribution and gallery management.
- Develop landing pages and discovery pages to enhance content where applicable.
- Manage guest communications including confirmations and pre-arrival messages.
- Identify and cultivate internal and external partnerships, including Marriott Digital Services (MDS).
- Maintain regular engagement with Area Directors of Marketing to share recommendations and insights on digital trends.
- Oversee PR agency or internal PR messaging and manage PR events and promotions.
- Coordinate outlet marketing on third-party and local partner sites and define in-house F&B programming with the F&B Director.
- Develop and execute social strategy and manage paid social budgets.
- Review social content calendars and incorporate local area and property events.
- Lead asset development, including collateral, photoshoots, planning, on-site execution, editing, and distribution.
- Measure and report campaign and digital performance using relevant analytics tools, sharing insights with stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including GMs, Sales and Revenue Leaders, regional teams, and media representatives.
- Collect, review, and submit invoices for property marketing efforts and manage the submission process.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by leadership.
Requirements
- Option A: an accredited two-year degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or a related field plus four years of experience in sales, marketing, digital, or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising experience preferred.
- Option B: a four-year bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field plus two years of experience in sales, marketing, digital, or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising agency experience preferred.
