Florida State University in Tallahassee is looking for a Marketing Manager to lead a collaborative athletics marketing team and shape the fan experience across all ticketed sports. The role emphasizes growth, clear priorities, and strong brand alignment, with a focus on student engagement and community outreach. This is an on site opportunity within the Department of Athletics Marketing.
You will work with the university's primary digital properties, Seminoles.com and the Gameday App, to drive traffic, engagement, and time-on-site through a strategic content calendar and publishing approach.

Responsibilities
- Lead a unit of Marketing Representatives, each assigned primary fan experience responsibilities across all Florida State ticketed sports, setting strategy, establishing priorities, and delegating execution while each maintains day-to-day delivery for their portfolio.
- Own the digital strategy for Seminoles.com and the Gameday App, developing a content calendar and publishing cadence to drive traffic, engagement, and time-on-site on both platforms.
- Collaborate with web development and technology teams to prioritize user experience improvements, feature enhancements, and content presentation that reflect the premium Seminole brand.
- Leverage the Gameday App as a real-time fan engagement tool, managing in-game content, push notification strategy, mobile-exclusive offers, and interactive features aligned with the game day plan.
- Monitor platform analytics and translate data into actionable strategy adjustments.
- Serve as the lead planner and project manager for the game day fan experience across all Florida State ticketed athletics events, with emphasis on football and both men’s and women’s basketball.
- Partner with the Game Day Producer to develop comprehensive fan experience plans that align with brand standards, sponsorship commitments, and audience engagement goals.
- Develop seasonal and event-level experience frameworks defining pregame, in-game, and post-game touchpoints, fan activations, and promotional giveaways.
- Ensure game day plans are delivered on schedule, within budget, and integrated with broadcast, digital, and sponsorship priorities.
- Conduct post-event debriefs and data analysis to continuously refine the fan experience strategy.
- Design and lead fan development programs that build loyalty and deepen engagement across key audiences, with a focus on the Florida State student body.
- Manage student-focused initiatives including student section identity, attendance campaigns, enrollment and retention for student loyalty programs, and orientation outreach.
- Develop community-facing engagement programs to grow the broader Seminole fan base.
- Build and maintain relationships with student government, campus organizations, and community groups to amplify outreach reach and authenticity.
- Coordinate with ticket sales and development teams to convert engaged fans into ticket buyers, season ticket holders, and donors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and four years of experience, or an equivalent combination of post high school education and experience totaling eight years.
