Job Description

The Marketing Hospice Liaison directs marketing operations, cultivates referral and payer relationships, and leads strategic marketing planning for Prime Care Hospice serving San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties.

Responsibilities

  • Territory includes San Joaquin County and Stanislaus County.
  • Directs all daily marketing activities, including oversight of the creation and execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Ensures staff compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to anti-kickback, lawful marketing practices (gifts and services), patient solicitation, and the accuracy of marketing materials.
  • Performs ongoing market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with budgeted volume projections.
  • Implements marketing and promotional programs to achieve defined volume targets.
  • Establishes and maintains productive relationships with current and prospective referral and payer sources.
  • Shapes and monitors community, customer, payer, and patient perceptions of Prime Care Hospice as a high quality provider.
  • Provides leadership in strategic planning, identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to meet customer needs.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of Prime Care Hospice markets, including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitors' market positioning.
  • Shares marketing knowledge with appropriate organizational staff.
  • Maintains knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing them when Prime Care Hospice cannot provide services.
  • Monitors and reports the cost effectiveness of marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related or marketing field preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in health care, with hospice care marketing experience preferred.
  • Ability to market proactively and engage with customers and the community tactfully.
  • Proven skill in developing referral sources to support ongoing growth.
  • Strong communications, negotiation, and public relations abilities.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, strong organizational skills, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperative work style.

Experience

Hospice experience required: minimum of 1 year.
