What this role offers
Based onsite in Jacksonville, Florida, this nonprofit role places you at the center of external communications, donor development, community outreach, and event planning support. You will join a small, passionate team that embraces an all hands on deck environment, collaborating to tell our story, expand our ally network, and advance fundraising efforts in service of survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking.
Compensation
Salary range: USD 52,000 - 57,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the team to plan and implement a monthly external communications calendar.
- Write clear, engaging copy that reflects Arize Together’s warm and inspiring voice.
- Help develop a content pipeline featuring member win stories, program updates, and impact highlights for cross-channel use.
- Create and execute a unified social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn that aligns with the mission and brand voice.
- Track social media performance and audience engagement insights.
- Produce, design, and distribute external newsletters via Mailchimp and monitor performance metrics.
- Support updates to the website to reflect current programs and campaigns.
- Keep the photo gallery current, accurately labeled, and well organized.
- Assist founders with talking points, organizational narratives, and external presentation materials.
- Maintain and update the ally and donor database (Bloomerang/Mailchimp) with precise communication records.
- Build relationships with local businesses, churches, civic organizations, and community groups to grow the ally network.
- Assist in fundraising campaigns and donor appreciation initiatives.
- Develop and execute donor communications and strategies for fundraising initiatives.
- Represent Arize Together at community events, networking opportunities, speaking engagements, and partner meetings as needed.
- Help plan and run community-facing events, fundraisers, and outreach activities.
- Coordinate logistics for promotional materials, signage, and branded collateral for events.
- Support the team across tasks as needed, contributing to an enthusiastic, collaborative culture.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to supporting survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking.
- Demonstrated experience in social media content creation, strategy, and analytics across multiple platforms.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to craft compelling copy for newsletters, social posts, event promotions, and donor appeals.
- Experience developing and executing communications strategies for campaigns and events.
- Comfortable speaking publicly and representing the organization to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage volunteers, donors, community partners, and members with warmth and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Mailchimp (or equivalent), Canva or similar design tools, and Google Suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events and outreach efforts.
- Eduction: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Experience: Marketing experience of 2 years preferred.
