The Marketing Coordinator position at the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District provides essential support to management and professional staff, while overseeing the district’s bus signage programs and budget tracking. Responsibilities

  • Drafts diverse correspondence, documents, financial statements, reports, and related materials.
  • Checks completed materials for completeness, accuracy, policy compliance, and proper English grammar.
  • Answers and screens calls and visitors, delivering information that may require applying policies or exercising judgment.
  • Manages the department budget, issuing purchase orders and payment requisitions, tracking expenditures, processing invoices, verifying payments, and auditing annual expenditure reports.
  • Ensures precision of the transit signage program by identifying affected signs, updating and producing signage, proofreading, posting and removing signage on schedule, and maintaining related records.
  • Oversees the Lost and Found tag program, maintains delivery and inventory data, and reorders tags as stock runs low.
  • Completes assignments accurately from concise instructions, whether spoken or written.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to ensure timely completion of correspondence and projects, keeping appropriate staff informed of progress and activity.
  • Organizes and preserves department files, records, and databases.
  • Leads a range of special projects related to the department and executes them independently.
  • Provides administrative support to the Marketing and Communications team.
  • Processes requests for fundraiser donations.
  • Procures office supplies for the department.

Position Summary

Under general supervision, this role provides varied office administrative support for management and professional staff and performs related duties. It is responsible for the accuracy of the department's annual budget and for the general oversight of the district's bus signage programs. The position requires strong organizational and follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, using initiative, independent judgment, tact and discretion.
