This full‑time, hybrid role offers a salary range of $51,900 to $72,700 per year and a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will contribute to shaping the department’s public image across media channels in a collaborative, academic environment that supports professional growth and cross‑functional teamwork.
Position overview
Marketing/Communications Specialist is responsible for creating, managing and enhancing the department’s public image through effective communication strategies across various media platforms.
Responsibilities
- Create, manage and enhance the department's public image through effective communication strategies across various media platforms.
- Develop newsletters and marketing materials and produce related graphic design assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or related field
- 2 years of experience
- Experience in writing and publishing to include newsletters, marketing materials, and graphic design
- No licensure required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
- Adobe Creative Cloud applications for visual and multimedia content production
- Experience using digital tools for image optimization, video editing, and multimedia publishing across web and social platforms
- Familiarity with content management systems and web publishing platforms (Cascade CMS or similar)
- Experience working with accessible digital content, including captioned video, accessible PDFs, and web accessibility best practices
- Organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills
