Marketing and Social Media Specialist
Job Description
MAWBY Sparkling Wines, along with its bigLITTLE brand, is seeking a Marketing and Social Media Specialist to drive digital storytelling from our Suttons Bay, Michigan location. This on-site role combines creative content production with community engagement, aiming to expand brand visibility, boost audience interaction, and support marketing goals through compelling storytelling that encourages tasting room visits and online sales. You will also provide administrative and marketing support across key functions and assist with marketing initiatives and fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Produce original photos and videos for Facebook and Instagram using current digital tools and trends, conveying the brand voice through visuals and copy.
- Extend reach and brand presence to new platforms, including TikTok and YouTube.
- Manage the company’s digital image in a cohesive way to meet marketing objectives.
- Track and report on metrics as directed by Management.
- Research current benchmark trends and audience preferences to inform content strategy.
- Engage with followers, respond to inquiries promptly, and monitor customer reviews.
- Oversee social media account design elements such as Facebook timeline covers, profile pictures, Linktree, avatars, and related assets.
- Recommend and implement new features to build brand awareness, including promotions and contests.
- Stay current with social media technologies, design tools, and industry trends.
- Support the Fulfillment Manager daily or as needed, including custom label orders and club shipments.
- Promote events through local marketing channels such as Tickers, TC Brief, Chambers, and TC Tourism.
- Actively support and attend offsite and onsite events in collaboration with the team.
- Manage Tock, website, and Google reservation hours and availability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date marketing calendars.
Requirements
- Prior experience in sales and marketing.
- Proven success in customer service and problem solving.
- Experience managing a Club in a similar retail environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of wine and sparkling wine or a demonstrated ability to learn.
- Strong familiarity with MAWBY and bigLITTLE products.
- Experience using a variety of software apps or the ability to learn them, including UPS, Canva, and Google tools.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Solid background in social media marketing, relationship management, and social media management.
- Proven track record of successful social media campaigns.
- Experience creating original video/photography content for posts.

Physical requirements
- Combination of office and tasting room duties with frequent sitting and standing.
- Ability to focus, type, and use hands for extended periods.
- Ability to lift between 25 and 50 pounds regularly to handle shipping, stocking, pouring, and club orders.
- Must be able to travel by car and occasionally cover longer distances.
- Regularly operate a register, pour wine, and communicate clearly in English; taste or smell wine as part of duties.
- Frequent standing in the tasting room and walking, with occasional crouching, kneeling, and reaching.
Working conditions
- Approximately 75 percent marketing duties (including social media) and 25 percent tasting room or event attendance.
- Occasional requirement to attend events on or off site; shifts may occur outside typical hours.
- Hours are Monday through Friday, with tasting room or office hours and potential weekend shifts.
- Shifts may vary during Fizz Club shipment months; travel to events and possible overnight stays may be required.
- A confidentiality agreement may be required as part of employment.
