Cents is building the leading platform for the $40+ billion laundry and dry cleaning industry, helping laundromats, dry cleaners, and garment care businesses start, manage, and grow. As the company expands from a single product and single audience into a growing suite serving multiple types of operators, Cents is hiring its first senior Product Marketer to help shape product marketing strategy from the ground up.
This onsite role in the United States pairs you directly with the VP of Marketing to lead key product marketing initiatives, partner on systems and processes, and drive work across audience research, positioning, go-to-market planning, launches, enablement, and competitive intelligence. Salary for this role is USD 175,000 - 190,000 per yearly (base pay for New York City; compensation may vary by location, experience, and qualifications).
What you’ll do
- Conduct audience research, define the ideal customer profile, and translate insights into go-to-market strategy.
- Own naming, positioning, and messaging for existing and future products and features.
- Collaborate with the product team on the launch and release process from planning through execution.
- Partner with others in marketing to support sales and customer success enablement.
- Build and maintain competitive intelligence to inform strategy and messaging decisions.
What you bring
- 5+ years in B2B product marketing, including at least 2 years in software sold to SMBs.
- Experience taking a product from thesis to launch.
- Comfort working closely with sales and customer success teams.
- Ability to lead multiple work streams in parallel.
- Ability to write and build your own materials.
- No need to know anything about the laundry business, as the team will teach you about the industry. The focus is on how you think about users and products.
- If you do not match every line but believe you can do the work, share why you are a strong fit.
Compensation and benefits
- Equity Options
- Unlimited PTO and 12 Paid Holidays
- Gym, Laundry and Work-from-home/Commuter stipend
- Parental leave up to 14 weeks fully paid for new parents
- Health benefits including medical, dental, vision, mental health support, parental leave, life and AD&D insurance, and disability
