Job Description

The Jr Digital Marketing & Communications Manager for Enrollment Services supports Florida International University's enrollment marketing efforts by upholding editorial standards and content quality, assisting in shaping content strategy, and delivering user-friendly materials for FIU's digital and print channels.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the creation and execution of email marketing messages and campaigns designed to increase student applications, enrollment, and matriculation.
  • Advocates for the user voice, integrating diverse inputs to craft content with appropriate tone, messaging, and consistent style through revision and copy editing.
  • Helps establish quality standards and benchmark content against best practices.
  • Collaborates across content disciplines, including information architecture, style guides, templates, and analytics.
  • Supports updating campaign messaging in line with best practices and weekly recommendations from the Senior Account Manager.
  • Gathers weekly performance metrics for email campaigns, such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and unsubscribes.
  • Partners with designers, business analysts, developers, Marketing Cloud administrators, and communications directors to develop content for existing and planned elements.
  • Supports participatory design and user testing sessions and presents findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior clients.
  • Interprets relevant educational media and communications administrative rules and policies and recommends new or improved programs or technologies to enhance management.
  • Maintains ongoing contact with departmental leadership, staff, and the broader university community.
  • Oversees the communication calendar to ensure adherence to schedules and timelines.
  • Handles confidential information with discretion, exercising independent judgment and initiative when dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Performs other related duties as required; responsibilities may evolve as needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media/Public Relations, Communications, or a related field, plus one year of experience.

Job Details

  • Location: Miami, Florida (onsite)
  • Salary: USD 41,000 - 46,000 per year
  • Work Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Pre-employment: Criminal Background Check
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media/Public Relations, Communications or related field; 1 year of experience
  • Other Information: Ability to work flexible hours as needed
