Work onsite in Worcester, MA to drive hospice and palliative referrals through relationship building, outreach, and education.

Develop new business by creating and maintaining referral relationships with physicians and other medical professionals.
Build partnerships with community and senior organizations, hospitals, discharge planners, nursing home professionals, assisted living facilities, and special interest groups.
Prepare for and conduct calls and in-service presentations for potential referral sources.
Participate in community and organizational programs by making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate to expand knowledge of the hospice philosophy and promote Ascend services.
Promote a patient-centered environment that supports privacy, dignity, and well-being for all patients.
Support positive public relations with patients, family members, and healthcare providers.
Serve as a resource internally and externally by supporting the organization’s mission and vision, particularly as it applies to palliative and end-of-life care.

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Marketing experience, preferably in hospice or another healthcare environment (Home Health, Long Term Care, or Pharmaceuticals).
Willingness to travel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter who can create their own leads.
Ability to maintain an organized approach to territory management and work with limited supervision.
Ability to work effectively as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
Ability to support and promote the Hospice philosophy to referral sources in the medical industry.
