Email Marketing Manager
Job Description
Giant Partners is seeking a seasoned Email Marketing Manager to own the full email marketing function for multiple client accounts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the email marketing department, including hiring, training, mentoring, and managing a team of email specialists
- Set standards, workflows, and quality benchmarks for all email output
- Develop and execute email marketing strategies across cold outreach, warm nurturing, promotional campaigns, re-engagement sequences, and lifecycle automation
- Architect and deploy cold email campaigns end-to-end, including list building, domain setup, DNS configuration, IP warming, inbox placement optimization, copy strategy, and performance analysis
- Design and build automation workflows including welcome sequences, lead nurturing, abandoned cart recovery, onboarding flows, and re-engagement campaigns
- Own email deliverability across all client accounts
- Monitor sender reputation, manage domain health, troubleshoot inbox placement issues, maintain list hygiene, and apply best practices to improve inboxing rates
- Set up and manage sending domains, configure DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, CNAME), manage dedicated IPs, and ensure proper authentication
- Work across multiple ESPs and marketing platforms: Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, and ActiveCampaign
- Select and configure the right email platform based on each client’s needs
- Oversee list building, segmentation, data hygiene, suppression management, and compliance with anti-spam regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
- Write or oversee high-converting email copy: subject lines, preview text, body content, and CTAs
- Ensure messaging aligns with client brand voice and campaign objectives
- Run A/B tests across subject lines, send times, content, design, and segmentation
- Use performance data to improve open rates, click rates, and conversions
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards covering deliverability, opens, clicks, conversions, revenue attribution, and list growth
- Present insights and recommendations to clients and leadership
- Ensure email programs comply with anti-spam laws and industry best practices
- Stay current on evolving deliverability standards, ISP policies, and email authentication requirements
- Leverage AI tools to support copy generation, personalization at scale, send-time optimization, predictive segmentation, and campaign performance analysis
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on email marketing experience, including both cold email outreach and warm email campaign management
- Strong deliverability knowledge, including domain warming, IP reputation, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, inbox placement testing, and sender score management
- Expert proficiency with multiple ESPs and platforms, including Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, and ActiveCampaign
- Proven experience setting up sending infrastructure from scratch, including domain purchasing, DNS configuration, IP warming schedules, and deliverability monitoring
- Track record of improving deliverability across multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Experience building complex automation workflows with multi-step sequences, conditional logic, behavioral triggers, and dynamic content
- Excellent copywriting skills for subject lines, email body content, and CTAs tied to measurable outcomes
- Analytical skills with experience building reports and dashboards to track performance and ROI
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies and statistical significance
- Knowledge of anti-spam regulations and compliance best practices (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL)
- Leadership experience hiring, training, and managing a team of email marketing specialists
- Familiarity with AI tools for email marketing and willingness to integrate them into workflows
- Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to present to clients and leadership
