Philadelphia, PA $100k - $150k/yr Full time Posted 16d ago

Job Description

Right Coach Right Time is hiring a hands-on Director of Sales & Marketing to lead revenue growth in a commercial and industrial power-generation business. This hybrid role in Philadelphia blends strategy with direct customer and deal involvement, with a bonus and commission plan on top of base salary.

You will oversee how the company identifies opportunities, develops customer relationships, generates demand, and converts prospects into profitable revenue. The role is built for a leader who will strengthen the revenue engine while staying actively engaged in complex, technical sales cycles.

What you’ll do

  • Own end-to-end sales and marketing strategy for generator and power-equipment sales, rentals, services, and related solutions.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the sales organization by setting clear expectations for revenue, gross margin, pipeline development, activity, forecasting, and individual performance.
  • Build a scalable sales process covering prospecting, qualification, account development, opportunity management, follow-up, and closing.
  • Stay involved in strategic accounts and complex opportunities, supporting the team through technical requirements, pricing, negotiations, and long sales cycles.
  • Develop sustainable growth by identifying and expanding new markets, verticals, territories, partnerships, and customer segments.
  • Strengthen alignment between Sales and Marketing so campaigns, digital marketing, SEO, content, trade shows, and outbound efforts translate into measurable pipeline and revenue.
  • Define KPIs and reporting for lead generation, conversion, pipeline value, win rates, sales cycle, revenue, gross margin, and customer acquisition.
  • Improve CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy to ensure leadership has visibility into current pipeline and expected revenue.
  • Partner with Operations and Project Management to ensure customer commitments are realistic, profitable, and successfully executed.
  • Monitor competitors, market conditions, pricing, customer needs, and industry trends to protect and grow the company’s position.
  • Represent the company with key customers, strategic partners, vendors, trade organizations, and at industry events.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop sales talent as the organization continues to grow.

What you bring

  • 8+ years of progressive B2B sales experience with meaningful sales leadership responsibility.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and manage a quota-carrying sales organization.
  • Experience selling high-value technical products, equipment, or services to commercial or industrial customers.
  • Power generation, generators, electrical equipment, industrial equipment, construction equipment, rental, energy, or related experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to build pipeline through outbound business development and inbound/digital marketing channels.
  • Strong grasp of sales forecasting, CRM management, KPIs, gross margin, pricing, and sales-performance management.
  • Capability to coach salespeople while stepping in personally on major opportunities when needed.
  • Executive presence and effective communication with customers, technical teams, Operations, and leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset suited to a growing organization.
  • Willingness to travel for customers, project sites, trade shows, and business-development opportunities.

Location, pay, and benefits

  • Location: Hybrid remote in Philadelphia, PA 19195
  • Pay: $100,000 to $150,000 per year
  • Benefits: 401(k), health insurance, paid time off

Industries served: data centers, healthcare, construction, manufacturing, commercial real estate, telecommunications, and other mission-critical environments.
