Job Description
The Director of Marketing and Communications at Jefferson Community College, located onsite in Watertown, NY, provides strategic leadership for internal and external communications, marketing, branding, advertising, and media relations to support student success and the college's Strategic Plan. The position offers a salary range of USD 65,000 to 90,000 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Offer strategic leadership and planning for the college's comprehensive internal and external communications, marketing, branding, advertising, and media relations.
- Develop and implement innovative communication strategies that integrate web, social media, and traditional channels to support students, faculty, and administrative operations.
- Enhance and assess the effectiveness of the college's communications to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Oversee the creation of print and digital materials, including maintenance of the college website.
- Direct teams to prioritize student success and completion, aligning work with the current Strategic Plan.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with diverse populations, advance inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for historically underrepresented groups in higher education.
