Director of Marketing
Job Description
This on-site Director of Marketing role in Eden Prairie, MN focuses on shaping and executing the 2nd Swing Golf marketing strategy while leading the marketing team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the marketing team in executing the strategic marketing plan across channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and refine the strategic plan.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the marketing budget including downstream activities.
- Create and maintain brand guidelines and deploy environmental branding at all retail locations.
- Gather and analyze market data to identify new markets and customer demand, and assess the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Perform market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to support product profitability.
- Conduct pricing research to ensure competitive pricing for products and services.
- Maintain awareness of market trends and identify needs for new products and services, providing recommendations to leadership.
- Negotiate contracts for services required to implement the marketing strategy.
- Develop, evaluate, and deliver training on marketing activities, strategies, and policies.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train supervisory and management staff within the department.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell products and services.
- Experience managing the marketing function, including strategy execution and budget oversight.
- Experience leading direct reports and cross-organizational teams.
- Competitive or collegiate level golf experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to create, implement, and monitor budgets.
- Capacity to adapt quickly to changing conditions and priorities.

Compensation
Pay range for this position is $88,000 to $152,000 per year, based on experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing.
- At least ten years of experience in retail or sporting goods marketing or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of the golf industry.
- Maintain a 10 handicap or better.
