Location: Seattle, WA (onsite) • Salary: USD 90,373 - 106,000 per year
AEG Presents seeks a strategic marketing leader to guide and develop the live events marketing program in Seattle. In this onsite role, you will oversee detailed promotional and advertising plans for individual shows, craft new strategies for existing events through market analysis, and lead the marketing department to ensure timely, on-budget execution. This is a hands-on leadership position with a clear path to mentor a growing team within a dynamic live-entertainment environment.

Salary range: USD 90,373 - 106,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Develop detailed promotional and advertising plans that identify targeted demographics for each show
- Research and apply new marketing trends and practices to AEG Presents shows, events, festivals and tours
- Coordinate advertising flighting across locations and collaborate with the public relations team on strategy
- Oversee the marketing department, track progress and performance to ensure work is completed accurately and on deadlines
- Mentor and develop marketing staff by providing information, education opportunities, and growth experiences
- Manage marketing workflow by scheduling and assigning staff and following up on results
- Work with leadership to determine department budgets and negotiate with artist management
- Deliver short- and long-term market forecasts by directing market research, data collection, analysis and interpretation
- Develop strategies for existing events by analyzing market development data, acquiring information, and consulting with internal and external sources
- Create advertising plans for tours, festivals and single shows
- Lead the creation of press releases, secure promotional opportunities, supervise advertising materials and execute plans
- Approve radio spots, order festival graphics, posters and banners, produce festival videos, and coordinate with legal on sensitive material and vendor contracts
- Maintain marketing staff through recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training
- Support staff performance through counseling, planning, monitoring and appraisal of results
- Supervise and delegate work to marketing staff
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to other team members
- Collaborate with the booking team to craft pitches that attract artists to AEG Presents
- Brainstorm new techniques for promotions and artist interactions
- Coordinate with PR agencies and record labels to distribute press releases and manage day-of-show press lists
- Arrange press interviews and secure artist availability for promotions
- Identify immediate and long-range issues, provide relevant information and options, and implement directives
- Build and nurture relationships with artists and their management by attending live events and networking
- Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and industry groups
- Follow up with media outlets and artist management on additional marketing opportunities to boost ticket sales
- Coordinate with media, venues, vendors, labels and artist management as needed
- Organize and submit ticket holds for promotions, media, and artist management to the ticketing department
- May oversee distribution of daily ticket counts
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business Communications, or Public Relations preferred
- 8 to 10 years of related work experience
- Experience creating and managing budgets
- Promoter experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Photoshop
- Knowledge of brand identity, advertising, digital marketing and social media strategy and best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships
- Knowledge of media buying, negotiating and documenting agreements
- Knowledge of the music industry and artist demographics
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
