Job Description

The role directs Nashville’s digital marketing efforts for BMG on a six-month contract, overseeing social media, online advertising, CRM initiatives, and fanbase development. This temporary leadership position manages the team, priorities, and external partnerships to drive digital growth within a dynamic music environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Nashville recorded music digital marketing, shaping multi-channel campaigns and overall direction.
  • Lead and develop a growing digital marketing team to deliver on objectives and extend capabilities.
  • Oversee social media and connected platform strategy and innovation, including social gaming, fan clubs, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to manage partner relationships across Meta platforms, TikTok, Snapchat, Discord, and other connected channels.
  • Drive individual campaign success while aligning with holistic territory planning and long-term growth goals.
  • Oversee CRM, data capture, fan-to-fan engagement, and direct-to-fan marketing with GDPR and data protection compliance.
  • Manage website and landing page assets with a focus on GDPR and data protection compliance.
  • Administer the tools and systems available to digital marketing across the organization.
  • Serve as the escalation point for artists, management, and internal stakeholders on Nashville projects.
  • Uphold and represent BMG's core values in daily operations and external partnerships.
  • Coordinate with marketing and streaming colleagues to ensure integrated campaign execution.

Requirements

  • Deep subject matter expertise in digital marketing, including social media, audience development, online advertising, and digital activations.
  • Experience leading campaigns and marketing initiatives within the music industry.
  • Proven track record in team leadership and development, with department management experience.
  • Experience managing partner relationships, including pitching and familiarity with content management systems.
  • Strong business acumen, including budgeting awareness and insight into revenue streams.
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience with country music and its industry dynamics.
  • Interest in AI, new technologies, and emerging platforms, with a proactive, test-and-learn mindset.
