Boat Sales & Marketing Advisor (Part-Time)

Schroon Lake Marina is seeking a Part-Time Boat Sales & Marketing Advisor to drive boat sales and strengthen our digital presence at Schroon Lake, NY. This role merges direct sales with content creation and customer relationship management, with the potential to evolve into a full-time position as the marina grows.

Responsibilities

• Generate and follow up on boat sales leads.
• Meet with prospective customers and demonstrate boats and pontoons.
• Guide customers through the buying process from first contact through delivery.
• Create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
• Photograph and video boats, customers, marina events, and the boating lifestyle on beautiful Schroon Lake.
• Assist with website updates, online boat listings, email marketing, and digital advertising.
• Respond promptly to online inquiries and social media messages.
• Represent Schroon Lake Marina at promotional events, boat shows, and community events.
• Build long-term customer relationships before, during, and after the sale.
• Work closely with our experienced sales team to grow the marina's boat sales and online presence.

Requirements

• Sales experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with social media platforms and digital content creation is a plus.
• Comfortable taking photos, shooting video, and creating engaging online content.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Passion for boating, the outdoors, and the Adirondack lifestyle is a plus.
• Current college students, recent graduates, and individuals pursuing degrees in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Media, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Schroon Lake Marina are required.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays during the summer boating season.

Benefits

• Base annual salary of $25,000
• Uncapped sales commissions
• Target first-year earnings of $35,000–$40,000+, depending on sales performance
• Sales completed independently earn full commission; jointly assisted sales share commission with an experienced member of our sales team
• Flexible year-round schedule averaging approximately 20 hours per week, with additional hours during the busy summer season
• Opportunity to grow into a full-time position as the business expands
