Job Description

Dawson Cole Fine Art in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA is seeking an on-site Administrative and Marketing Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support and coordinate internal workflows
  • Maintain CRM and databases; Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Track inventory and keep records up to date
  • Update the website and manage digital content
  • Create, schedule, and report on social media content
  • Support email marketing and assist with campaign prep
  • Produce simple graphics and short-form videos using Canva, CapCut, or similar tools
  • Organize digital assets and files for easy access
  • Coordinate the marketing calendar and monitor project progress
  • Maintain organized office operations and manage supplies
  • Assist with gallery projects, including artwork placement and lighting adjustments
  • Support occasional errands, deliveries, and general gallery operations as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional administrative, marketing, communications, or office experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Experience juggling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience creating content for Instagram and Facebook
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs, Canva, CapCut, Google Ads, or similar tools is beneficial but not required
  • Solid computer skills and quick learner of new software
  • Comfortable making decisions and advancing projects with minimal supervision
  • Able to work in an active gallery setting, including occasional lifting, moving artwork, and assisting with installations

Compensation

$25-$29 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

  • Part-time role, approximately 20-30 hours per week

  • Some schedule flexibility available based on gallery needs
  • On-site position in Carmel-by-the-Sea
