Administrative & Marketing Assistant
Job Description
Dawson Cole Fine Art in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA is seeking an on-site Administrative and Marketing Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support and coordinate internal workflows
- Maintain CRM and databases; Salesforce experience is a plus
- Track inventory and keep records up to date
- Update the website and manage digital content
- Create, schedule, and report on social media content
- Support email marketing and assist with campaign prep
- Produce simple graphics and short-form videos using Canva, CapCut, or similar tools
- Organize digital assets and files for easy access
- Coordinate the marketing calendar and monitor project progress
- Maintain organized office operations and manage supplies
- Assist with gallery projects, including artwork placement and lighting adjustments
- Support occasional errands, deliveries, and general gallery operations as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional administrative, marketing, communications, or office experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
- Experience juggling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Experience creating content for Instagram and Facebook
- Experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs, Canva, CapCut, Google Ads, or similar tools is beneficial but not required
- Solid computer skills and quick learner of new software
- Comfortable making decisions and advancing projects with minimal supervision
- Able to work in an active gallery setting, including occasional lifting, moving artwork, and assisting with installations

Compensation
$25-$29 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
- Part-time role, approximately 20-30 hours per week
- Primarily weekdays during normal business hours
- Some schedule flexibility available based on gallery needs
- On-site position in Carmel-by-the-Sea
