Job Description

Tailored Shared Services, LLC seeks a Senior Data Analyst for Marketing Analytics to partner with Marketing and other stakeholders in Dublin, CA. The role centers on evaluating marketing performance, analyzing customer acquisition, and uncovering opportunities to attract, retain, and delight customers through data-driven insights.

The position emphasizes turning complex data into actionable business outcomes, shaping how marketing decisions are made, and collaborating across analytics, engineering, and business teams to drive measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Marketing and other stakeholders to deliver analytics-driven solutions and innovative strategies that drive business results.
  • Interpret data to identify business trends, perform ad-hoc analyses, and uncover opportunities across digital marketing channels.
  • Examine customer segments, churn, retention, and buying behaviors.
  • Build and optimize reporting and dashboards, defining key metrics, crafting clear reports, and proactively monitoring them. Improve data sources and automate processes to maximize time for high-value analyses.
  • Own analytics outcomes for marketing channel performance and optimization; work with stakeholders to define a roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and execute plans.
  • Design and assess tests and experiments to improve marketing performance and customer outcomes.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations and prioritization decisions that drive impact.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to enhance data quality, standard definitions, governance, tools, and approaches.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing by impact on the business and customers.
  • Present analyses in a clear, interpretable way that is accessible to both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Collaborate across Analytics to share learnings, align methodologies, and leverage best practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of analytics experience with progressive responsibility initiating, executing, and presenting projects for cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort with AI-enabled tools and technologies to accelerate analysis, including developing practical methodologies to QA AI-generated outputs and assess reliability before use.
  • Fluency with complex SQL queries and dataset transformations on large datasets.
  • Experience in quantitative marketing, including correlation, clustering, segmentation, regression, and marketing performance analysis.
  • Experience with advanced data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Strong ability to interpret data and translate it into practical business actions, recommendations, and prioritization decisions.
  • Strong practical business sense, balancing analytical rigor with real-world tradeoffs to improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with marketing channels and external agencies including social, search, and display.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodology, test design, measurement, and translating results into marketing actions.
  • Familiarity with evaluating loyalty programs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; acts as a bridge among business, analytics, and engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to deliver highly complex analytics projects involving methodology development, analysis, strategic recommendations, and presentation of findings.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and project management software like JIRA, GitHub, and Confluence.
  • Confidence to scrutinize and share the limitations of analyses when the data isn’t perfect.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field like Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Operations Research, or Industrial Engineering, or relevant experience.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a remote office location
