Job Description

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Americas) is hiring a Performance Marketing Manager based in Los Angeles, CA to help grow profitable revenue through digital performance. In this hybrid role, you will drive brand affinity and visits by owning performance marketing strategy and execution across paid media, retail media, measurement and analytics, and digital brand governance, reporting to the Head of Marketing.

What you’ll do

  • Develop integrated communications campaign plans for marketing windows.
  • Optimize paid acquisition channels to drive measurable growth in customer acquisition, revenue, and ROI.
  • Manage relationships with media agencies, ad platform representatives, delivery platform account managers, and measurement and analytics vendors.
  • Set channel strategy and media mix across the path to purchase, defining how each channel supports awareness, conversion, and retention, where to prioritize investment, and how to test emerging channels.
  • Build the integrated communications campaign and paid media plan for each marketing window, aligning channels, audiences, and budget with commercial goals in partnership with the Global team.
  • Lead a media-led, iterative creative practice by partnering with creative and content teams to brief, produce, and refine ad creative based on platform best practices and prior learnings.
  • Coordinate paid acquisition and re-engagement across social, search, and programmatic, directing the media agency and setting audience strategy to acquire new customers and win back lapsed customers in partnership with loyalty and technology teams.
  • Deliver quantifiable improvements in ROAS and CPA across channels while scaling paid spend efficiently.
  • Manage sponsored listings and promoted placements on third-party delivery platforms to increase incremental order volume and visibility.
  • Work with platform account managers to unlock new ad formats and co-marketing entitlements.
  • Own working media budget allocation and orchestration across paid and retail media to optimize spend against strategic goals.
  • Lead annual and quarterly budget planning and forecasting, including delivery-platform and emerging-channel spend.
  • Own the measurement framework, including conversion tracking and tagging (pixels, SDKs, server-side), attribution across channels and outcomes, and incrementality testing to validate true media contribution.
  • Run continuous A/B tests on creative, audience targeting, and landing pages, using quantitative analysis to improve performance.
  • Diagnose performance using app, web, and other digital analytics tools and report through dashboards covering demand funnel, budget, ROI, efficiency, and campaign KPIs.
  • Govern brand standards across digital channels to ensure landing pages, campaign destinations, and on-site messaging reflect brand guidelines and align with paid creative.
  • Direct organic and AI-search visibility (SEO, AEO, and GEO), briefing agencies and partners on content, structured data, and listing updates needed for CBTL to surface accurately in search and generative answer engines.

What you bring

  • 6+ years of experience in a quantitative marketing role managing budget, strategy, and execution on social, search, or other performance-oriented channels.
  • Hands-on, in-platform experience setting up campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.
  • Experience managing sponsored placements or ad spend on delivery platforms (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, or similar).
  • Proven ability to build and scale acquisition and re-engagement campaigns with a strong focus on ROI.
  • Strong understanding of marketing and incrementality testing across owned and third-party channels.
  • Proficiency with digital analytics tools, including tagging, with exceptional analytical skills to identify opportunities in complex data and operationalize them.
  • Understanding of the AdTech and MarTech ecosystem, including how platforms connect and how data moves across the stack.
  • Fluency with AI tools to sharpen analysis and maximize media effectiveness.
  • Experience overseeing a brand’s website and digital presence.
