Marketing and Community Relations Assistant

Coastal Kia is seeking a Marketing and Community Relations Assistant in Wilmington, NC to help strengthen community engagement while supporting ongoing brand growth. In this onsite, paid role, you will support marketing and social media activities, coordinate parts of dealership promotions, and assist with select HR onboarding and employee event coordination.

With a locally owned and operated dealership focused on employees, customers, and the Wilmington community, Coastal Kia needs a dependable, people-oriented collaborator who can turn dealership moments into engaging content and meaningful local partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent Coastal Kia at community events, sponsorships, charitable activities, and local functions.
• Build relationships with local organizations and help identify new opportunities for community involvement.
• Create and post social media content highlighting dealership activities, employees, customers, and community events.
• Assist management with dealership promotions, marketing initiatives, and coordination with outside advertising partners.
• Support new-hire onboarding and HR administration, including benefits enrollment and employee paperwork.
• Help coordinate employee events, recognition programs, and internal communications.

Requirements

• Outgoing, professional, and comfortable meeting and working with people.
• Creative and comfortable using social media.
• Organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong communicator able to handle confidential employee information.
• Experience in community relations, social media, marketing, advertising, HR, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Canva and experience with photography or basic video/content creation is a plus.
• Some prior advertising or marketing experience is preferred.
