Job Description
An onsite role in Chicago, IL at National Louis University offers a salary range of USD 72,187 - 108,281 per year and leads the university's social media presence, shaping strategy, overseeing content and analytics, and coordinating cross-department efforts to drive engagement and program leads.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Brand Management: Develop and execute an integrated social media plan aligned with NLU brand guidelines and institutional goals; serve as the guardian of the university's digital voice across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging platforms; collaborate with the marketing and communications teams and university leadership to align social content with PR and branding initiatives; lead the Social Media Steering Committee to guide strategy.
- Content Strategy & Execution: Maintain a robust content calendar with recurring pillars such as Faces of NLU, Alumni Highlights, and Program Spotlights; oversee production of high engagement video content by recruiting and managing student content creators; coordinate with the marketing team and campus partners to ensure consistent visual coverage of events and milestones; drive user generated content and engagement.
- Lead Production, Development & Program Marketing: Leverage organic social to generate leads for the full program portfolio; partner with the paid media agency to align paid social with organic posting as needed; ensure social strategies support lead nurturing campaigns and website content.
- Performance & Analytics: Monitor engagement metrics across platforms; compile monthly reports highlighting top performing content and key engagement indicators; apply data-driven insights to optimize tactics and maximize lead generation and branding outcomes.
- Departmental Collaboration: Work with Enrollment and Academic departments to showcase program features and student success stories; integrate social efforts with broader digital marketing and lead nurturing campaigns managed via Salesforce and Pardot.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional social media management experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading teams.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using analytical skills to collect, organize, visualize, and synthesize data sets.
- Proven ability to create fully integrated social media campaigns with measurable results.
- Expertise with Google Analytics, native analytics tools across social platforms, and familiarity with CRMs such as Salesforce/Pardot.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills with the ability to articulate brand narratives effectively.
- Experience coordinating multiple contributors to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Ability to drive creative vision and storytelling across social channels to support university objectives.
- Track record of delivering results within established timelines.
