Job Description

Based in Lisle, IL onsite, the Commercial Lines New Business Marketing Specialist at Connor & Gallagher Insurance Services Inc drives end-to-end new commercial business development for Producers, with a salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain relationships with carriers and producers.
  • Actively study product lines and underwriting standards.
  • Compile thorough carrier submissions.
  • Collect supplementary submission data such as loss runs, supplemental applications, and driver/vehicle/equipment lists.
  • Evaluate coverage terms and conditions and compare quotes across carriers.
  • Negotiate terms including pricing and coverage details.
  • Build Outmarket workflows and comparative analyses.
  • Create proposals for Producer review.
  • Compile binding subjectivities.
  • Conduct online ratings for new small business opportunities.
  • Conduct online ratings for new ancillary coverage opportunities.
  • Maintain Epic records accurately to ensure compliance and minimize errors.
  • Utilize CSR24 to add instructions, craft templates, attach forms/endorsements, and issue COIs.
  • Prepare Welcome Letters for newly bound accounts.
  • Maintain the new business spreadsheet.
  • Update carrier contact lists in Epic and on the spreadsheet.
  • Maintain Outmarket carrier appetite data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the New Business Manager.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience servicing commercial lines accounts in an insurance brokerage or agency environment
  • Active Illinois Property & Casualty Producer License required
  • Strong knowledge of small commercial coverages, rating, and carrier markets
  • Experience working in an agency management system; Applied Epic experience preferred
  • High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
