Marketing Specialist
Job Description
Idaho Central Credit Union is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support the development and execution of marketing materials and campaigns for its members. Based in Chubbuck, ID, this onsite role focuses on design and copy work, review and proofreading, and coordinating production and delivery while supporting branches and community outreach.
What you will do
- Design marketing materials including flyers, posters, and ads.
- Write marketing copy for brochures, flyers, and posters, as well as for additional marketing collateral and digital channels.
- Design and update marketing materials for officers.
- Proofread marketing collateral for errors and provide feedback.
- Use knowledge of Credit Union products and services to develop accurate content.
- Apply a basic understanding of Compliance requirements for marketing Credit Union products and services.
- Coordinate printing and delivery of marketing materials.
- Update or create marketing requests coming from different departments.
- Assist branches with design, marketing, and collateral needs.
- Help execute marketing campaigns and support new branch openings.
- Work with high school branches on promotional giveaways and supplies.
- Remove members from CUNA marketing mailings.
- Review newspaper ads for competitor advertising and references to ICCU mentions.
- Research for special projects, including gathering data to support recommendations.
- Provide backup and assistance to other members of the Marketing team as needed.
- Represent the Credit Union at community events as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Advertising, or a related field.
- 0-4 years of experience in graphic design and copywriting.
- Desktop publishing skills using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Thorough proofreading skills and copywriting skills.
- Math skills, basic computer knowledge, and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to always maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.

- Analyze member needs and develop, coordinate, and support marketing activities aligned with Credit Union products and services.
- Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.
- Be willing to work extended/unique hours as requested.

Physical and driving requirements
- Ability to lift 70-80 pounds (items include money machine, coolers, tables, and other miscellaneous equipment).
- Local travel where a company vehicle is provided.
- Adequate auto insurance for driving while conducting company business.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, and similar tasks).
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies (including copy paper, cash drawers, marketing materials, and related items).
- Ability to perform repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Ability to reach keyboards.
- Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, and similar equipment).
