Marketing Data Scientist - AI Trainer

Join DataAnnotation as a Marketing Data Scientist - AI Trainer, where you’ll support the evaluation and training of AI systems focused on quantitative analysis and scientific reasoning. This fully remote contract role lets you work with a flexible schedule, selecting which projects you take on and when you work, with paid hourly opportunities after completing an assessment.

You’ll help improve how AI models reason about data and models by reviewing outputs for both technical accuracy and real-world validity, then contributing feedback that directly influences the next iteration of quantitative AI training.

What you’ll do

• Evaluate AI-generated quantitative work, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, scientific reasoning, and data-driven insights, ensuring technical correctness and practical soundness.
• Design and solve quantitative problems used to train and benchmark AI systems, covering areas such as forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
• Write clear technical explanations and maintain well-documented analytical code.
• Provide feedback that helps shape the next generation of AI models built for quantitative reasoning.

What you bring

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a quantitative role or research environment, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related field.
• Some coding experience, with comfort writing and reviewing analytical code end-to-end.
• Practical experience with statistical methods, predictive modeling, and experiment design (for example: A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, time-series forecasting).
• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level) and strong writing skills.
• A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is preferred (Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar). A master’s or PhD is a plus.
• Relevant credentials are a plus, such as Kaggle Competition ranking or AWS/GCP ML certifications (or equivalent demonstrated expertise).
