Director of Marketing
Job Description
The Director of Marketing role at DeLozier Development leads the full marketing function for DeLozier Capital Management, LLC. Based onsite in Pigeon Forge, TN, you will own marketing strategy, budgeting, channels, brand direction, and team performance across a growing portfolio of hospitality, attraction, retail, and restaurant brands in Sevier County.
Responsibilities
You will set and own the overall marketing strategy across the entire portfolio, including the annual and quarterly priorities that follow from it. This includes establishing brand positioning and marketing direction for each brand, ensuring consistency across every channel.
- Own campaign strategy and promotional approach, including how offers are designed, presented, and rolled out.
- Coordinate cross-business campaigns and identify cross-promotional opportunities between brands.
- Define customer journey strategy, covering discovery, selection, purchase behavior, and repeat visitation.
- Select where marketing focus and investment go, including which businesses, products, seasons, and opportunities receive priority.
- Lead paid advertising across all brands with hands-on account ownership, using outside agencies only when appropriate.
- Allocate marketing budgets across businesses and seasons and manage tracking and attribution to demonstrate return.
- Grow direct bookings for the cabin rental business and reduce reliance on third-party booking channels.
- Own organic search, digital listings, and website strategy across the portfolio, including the ability to make straightforward site updates without waiting on a developer.
- Drive online revenue growth for retail and attraction brands, covering traffic, conversion, merchandising presentation, promotions, and lifecycle marketing.
- Work alongside technology leadership (platform and infrastructure ownership) against a shared revenue target.
- Build and run email and SMS programs across the portfolio based on existing guest data collection.
- Own segmentation, automation, and lifecycle messaging to convert first-time guests into repeat customers.
- Set and enforce brand standards for visual identity and voice across every entity.
- Provide creative direction for photo, video, and design, including content quality standards.
- Support new locations, brands, and concepts as the portfolio expands.
- Develop tourism and group partnerships with tour operators, event venues, chambers and tourism associations, and attraction pass programs.
- Build business-to-business partnerships with hotels, resorts, and other operators across the county.
- Manage influencer relationships, hosted visits, earned media, community partnerships, and sponsorships.
- Oversee events and activations, print and signage programs, and coupon and physical placement initiatives.
- Lead and develop the existing marketing team across every brand, including setting metrics and targets for each team member.
- Build team structure and capability over time so marketing capacity keeps pace with business growth.
- Deliver portfolio-level marketing analytics with a consistent reporting cadence to ownership, using customer acquisition cost as a headline metric.
- Bring data and recommendations proactively, rather than relying on campaign recaps.
Requirements
- Seven or more years in marketing, including leadership of a team and a budget.
- Hands-on performance marketing experience, including personally owning paid media and discussing cost per acquisition by channel without preparing a deck first.
- E-commerce experience, including building or materially growing an online revenue line with numbers you can speak to.
- People management experience, including developing a team and making difficult performance decisions when needed.
- Numbers-first thinking, fluent in CAC, LTV:CAC, and channel-level return, and comfortable owning marketing spend allocation.
- Experience building marketing infrastructure rather than inheriting it, including setting up reporting.
- Active use of AI in daily marketing work, including reporting and tracking, content production, and campaign optimization.
- Comfort building and iterating with AI tools and workflows, or willingness to learn through training.
- Growth and metrics obsession, with revenue, acquisition cost, and bookings prioritized over impressions.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience.
- Annual performance bonus, plus a growth share tied to the performance of the businesses you market.
- Paid vacation.
- Flexible spending account (FSA) with company contribution.
- 401(k) Safe Harbor Plan.
- Health insurance with company-paid premium of 60%–65%.
- Supplemental insurance including dental, vision, and short-term disability.
- Direct access to ownership, with decisions made quickly.
- Genuine autonomy to build the marketing function as you see fit.
- A structured 90-day leadership launch to align expectations from day one.
- 401(k) matching.
- Dental insurance.
- Employee discount.
- Life insurance.
- Vision insurance.
Strongly Preferred
- Multi-brand or multi-location experience.
- Background in hospitality, tourism, attractions, or retail.
- Experience with partnerships, group sales, or channel relationships that generated measurable volume.
What Success Looks Like
- Portfolio growth, with sales increasing and marketing shown as a measurable driver.
- Known customer acquisition cost, tracked over time and improving.
- Direct bookings increase and third-party booking channel dependency decreases.
- E-commerce operating as a meaningful revenue line.
- Consistent brand look and sound across every channel.
- A stronger, clearer, more capable marketing team than at onboarding.
