This full-time, on-site Community Liaison role is based in Alexandria, MN and covers the Minnesota Territory, driving demand for inpatient psychiatric services, managing referrals, and executing the facility's sales and outreach strategy across Minnesota and North Dakota locations. A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field is required, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and apply Sales Excellence standards and Service Recovery procedures
- Serve as liaison between the facility and referral sources, developing service-focused action plans aligned with referral needs
- Act as a community resource and representative for Horizon Health
- Lead facility tours for key stakeholders
- Participate in Business Development team meetings, delivering marketing reports, updates, and Service Recovery opportunities to the Director in a timely manner
- Maintain documentation for top accounts, contacts, planning reports, client and competitive profiles as requested
- Build and sustain positive relationships with existing referral sources and identify additional sources
- Maximize field time to maintain an average of 8-10 in-person contacts daily with referral sources about programs, treatment philosophies, outcomes, and satisfaction data
- Develop and communicate sales messaging tailored to each program and audience
- Identify and implement a strategic sales plan for current and potential referral sources within the territory, incorporating research findings
- Design and execute sales activities approved by the Director to maximize market penetration and identify new accounts
- Monitor referral inquiries and admissions statistics daily
- Regularly analyze and adjust weekly sales action plans for effectiveness
- Stay informed about industry trends and apply insights to planning and strategy
- Ensure timely, clear communication across stakeholders
- Foster cooperation and use problem-solving to build relationships among the facility, referral sources, patients, families and the community
- Maintain up-to-date information in MedSeries 4, MIDAS and MEDIK, including daily contacts and accurate account data
- Utilize proprietary reports to inform sales activity planning
- Complete all required reports, including expense reports, sales call plans and post-call follow-ups, promptly
- Participate in off-hours sales and community activities as needed by the Director of Business Development and facility requirements
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field is required; related experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree
- Experience: Prior marketing and/or sales experience in a behavioral healthcare setting is preferred; three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth and physician relationships is preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license
