Job Description

A Community Education Marketing and Communication Specialist develops content and designs for Community Education materials across channels and reports to the Manager of Marketing & Communication.

Responsibilities

  • Writes, develops, and designs content for a broad range of Community Education marketing vehicles and publications, including the district website, social media channels, catalogs, and flyers.

Requirements

  • A minimum two‑year certificate in communication, graphic design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the District.
  • Bachelor of Science or Arts in Communications, Marketing, Community Education, or a related field.
  • Experience with budget supervision.
  • Knowledge of Community Education statutes, rules, and policies.
  • Experience with video production and editing.
  • Experience with digital photography and editing.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Stays informed on education-related news and developments.
  • Three years of experience in a similar role or with equivalent duties.

  • Salary: $75,400 per year (July to June cycle); prorated based on start date; possible longevity pay starting in year 5 (range $2,496 - $5,642).
