The Business Analytics Lead position within PNC’s Marketing & Customer Analytics organization focuses on digital marketing analytics in an individual contributor capacity. You will turn complex datasets into actionable insights by developing analytics solutions, dashboards, and analytical models that support marketing optimization and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on analytics across digital marketing campaigns including paid search, SEO, social, email, programmatic, and related channels to identify trends, improve performance, and maximize ROI.
- Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from enterprise platforms such as Hadoop, Teradata, and cloud-based systems.
- Build, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Adobe Analytics to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Develop and refine analytical models, including attribution models, customer segmentation, and customer journey analytics, to support personalized experiences across channels.
- Partner with marketing strategists, product teams, and finance stakeholders to define KPIs, translate business questions into analytical frameworks, and deliver actionable insights.
- Design and analyze A/B tests, geo lift studies, and other experimentation approaches to ensure analytical rigor and support strategic decision-making.
- Provide strategic guidance and subject matter expertise on digital marketing analytics best practices, emerging techniques, and optimization opportunities.
- Informally mentor junior analysts by sharing technical knowledge and analytical approaches to strengthen team capability.
- Lead analytics processes across multiple functions or business units using a broad set of complex analytical tools, serving as a mentor to more junior employees.
- Consult with clients and mentor consultants on tool and strategy implementation, including statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product or solution development.
- Determine optimal analytical approaches and support the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of analytics solutions.
- Analyze solution outcomes and provide recommendations to key business partners and senior management, or communicate conclusions to a range of audiences.
- Assist peers with guidance on analytical approaches for more complex solutions.
- Conceptualize, develop, and continuously optimize analytical solutions that enable data-driven decision-making for business leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Proven success as a digital marketing analytics professional, with significant hands-on experience as a senior analyst or lead individual contributor.
- Deep technical proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and work with large-scale enterprise data platforms such as Hadoop, Teradata, Spark, Impala, or similar technologies.
- Strong expertise in data visualization and dashboarding tools, including Tableau or Power BI.
- Understanding of digital marketing channels and familiarity with platforms such as SA360, CM360, DV360, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and Google Ads and the data they generate.
- Strategic thinking to translate complex business questions into analytical frameworks and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
- Ability to present complex findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, supported by strong storytelling skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple business functions.
- Intellectual curiosity and a continuous learning mindset, with enthusiasm for mentoring and sharing knowledge.
- Typically requires a university or college degree and 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
- Bachelors degree (or, in lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience including military service may be considered).

Compensation & Employment Details
- Base Salary: $91,000.00 – $202,800.00 per year
- Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and on individual skills, experience, and education.
- This role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
