Job Description

Onsite Marketing/Proposal Manager role at Clark Construction Group, leading RFQ/RFP proposal teams and producing marketing materials that support winning pursuits.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute RFQ and RFP responses by leading proposal work across all stages, including writing, editing, and visual communication
Organize and lead proposal teams in partnership with operational leaders and the company’s national marketing team
Build collaborative relationships with project staff to drive team synergy, creativity, and performance
Write and/or edit proposal content to directly address RFQ/RFP questions
Contribute to RFQ/RFP development including writing, editing, visual communication, graphics, and interactive media
Develop and edit interview presentation materials; initiate presentation preparation and provide critique focused on public speaking
Maintain company information, materials, and associated marketing databases

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with a major in Communications, English, Business, Marketing, or another relevant focus emphasizing writing, communication, and critical analysis
7+ years of successful marketing and proposal management experience
At least 2 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and/or construction (AEC) industry
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign and Illustrator, for professional document design, layout, and production
Proven ability coordinating and managing large-scale, complex proposal efforts
Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple team members against deadlines
Clear and compelling written communication, including strong English grammar and editing skills, with strong attention to detail
Ability to visualize and support graphic design and layout for effective communication, with Adobe Creative Suite experience required
Creativity and resourcefulness with demonstrated ability to execute ideas effectively
Confident, strategic approach to support marketing, pursuit, and proposal strategies across teams
Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, team-oriented attitude

Work Location and Schedule Notes

McLean, VA (onsite)
Role may be based in McLean, VA or Chicago, IL, with some travel required
Flexibility to work extended hours, especially during critical project phases or client deadlines
May be required to manage time-sensitive business needs, including emergencies
Expected to monitor and respond to communications (phone calls, emails, text messages) as required

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly
Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds on occasion

Work Environment

May be required to visit active construction sites
Must follow Clark Construction’s safety policies and procedures, and all applicable laws, at all locations

Salary: USD 90,000 - 110,000 per year
