Job Description

Best Life offers a mission driven consumer health app with a clear path to ownership of personal data, backed by a salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, a benefits package, and equity participation. This hybrid Raleigh based role lets you directly influence user growth, engagement, and the expanding Program Marketplace on Open Life Cloud.

Responsibilities

Lead the end to end user lifecycle for the Best Life app, defining user segments, clarifying value, and steering acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention.
Shape positioning, messaging, and storytelling grounded in real app usage, including the conversational AI features.
Plan and publish content across channels — blog, email, in app messaging, landing pages, app store listings, and social.
Oversee daily marketing operations including paid advertising, app store presence, website, the Discourse community, and Zoho CRM.
Collaborate with product and engineering to learn about new features, gather user feedback, and translate insights into marketing improvements.
Utilize the app regularly, including chat features, to surface authentic user stories and identify friction points.
Define and report practical metrics for acquisition, engagement, and retention, closing the loop between activity and results.
Develop and grow the Program Marketplace by attracting health and wellness creators, influencers, and developers to publish programs.

Requirements

4+ years of hands on marketing experience owning growth, content, or product marketing for a B2C consumer product. Mobile apps, subscription services, or digital health products are preferred. B2B only backgrounds are not a fit.
Proven ability to run campaigns from concept to publication with measurable results (conversion rates, CAC, retention lift, or engagement growth) and no vague claims without data.
Strong writing and editing skills with polished, finished output.
Daily use of AI tools for drafting, ideation, A/B copy variants, research synthesis, or workflow acceleration. Be prepared to name tools and describe a recent AI driven project in the last 30 days.
Experience working closely with product and engineering, able to read a changelog, talk with developers, and translate learnings into marketing actions.
Genuine curiosity about health, wellness, or behavior change products and an understanding of what motivates better habits.
Local to the Raleigh, NC area and able to come into the office one day per week. Relocation applicants are welcome but must confirm relocation plans before advancing.
