Marketing Manager role on-site in Watervliet, MI, overseeing Lane Automotive and Motor State Distributing to drive sales, profit, and growth across dealer and vendor networks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, development, and execution of Lane Automotive initiatives
- Develop and maintain a twelve-month calendar of all marketing activities, including advertising, co-op, and social media for all Lane Automotive brands
- Participate in setting Marketing and Sales goals
- Secure and nurture relationships within the organization and with industry partners
- Serve as the central contact for all vendors and partners involved in campaigns, including customers, suppliers, and media partners
- Review industry trade publications and news outlets for competitive intel, innovative ad content, and technologies
- Create and monitor performance reports
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth
- Oversee co-op advertising budgets to ensure profitability and deliverables aligned with partner expectations
- Develop and execute paid and organic digital campaigns across social media, PPC, brand websites, email marketing, and SEO to raise brand awareness and drive traffic
- Create and maintain a digital media calendar in collaboration with the Creative Team
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure timely delivery of media assets (photography, video, copy) at a high standard
- Monitor private brand websites with regular SEO audits, implement optimizations, and coordinate updates with internal and external teams
- Analyze campaign performance and provide insights for optimization
- Maintain quality of work, apply feedback, and identify opportunities to improve and promote quality
- Represent Lane Automotive at industry events, including company events, trade shows, and motorsports events
- Conduct employee performance evaluations, address disciplinary actions, and enforce company policies per the handbook
- Develop and grow direct reports by setting clear goals, providing actionable feedback, and fostering a high-performing team environment
- Collaborate effectively in a team setting
- Promote and maintain a clean, safe work environment by following procedures, policies, training, and regulations
- Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement project teams
- Assist with talent and workforce planning
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in marketing, communication, or a related field
- 5-7+ years of experience in marketing and/or sales with working knowledge of the automotive aftermarket industry
- Proven leadership experience in similar roles or organizations
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar
- Experience with digital media platforms including Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and YouTube Ads
- Experience managing social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube
- Experience in digital and traditional media buying is a plus
- Experience with SEO management software/tools is a plus
- Experience with project management tools
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, with excellent critical thinking, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software
